Each player plays 1 card each. All 4 cards played make a trick. If possible, you must aim for the color of the game played by the first card played in each trick. If you miss a card of the correct suit, you can play any card you like. The highest card in the first suit played in each trick wins the trick unless trumps are played. Spades are trumps, but must not be played at the beginning of a trick if the color has not been played before and thus broken. This means someone must trump spades in a trick started with a different suit color. Then spades can be played as any card in a trick.
